Waterfall Model in Project Management

The waterfall model is a classic project management method and describes a linear project planning model. In the conception and planning phase, the future process flow, including the assignment of tasks, is created and fixed. This is the basis for high planning reliability. The process can be well optimized and controlled by milestones, but errors are often only recognized at the end. Due to the lack of reactivity and flexibility, the waterfall model is unsuitable for projects with high uncertainty and complexity.
