Epic

cplace Glossary

Epic in Project Management

Epics describe a specific requirement for a product on a coarse-grained level, where details are not relevant yet. Epics are user stories that are “very large” so that they can no longer be implemented in one sprint. They may later be broken down into more detailed features or detailed user stories. A distinction is made between Business Epics, which represent customer-oriented requirements, and Enabler Epics, which are technically oriented.
